📚 About the Lecturer: Professor Hiroko Kotani
Professor at Tokyo Future University, Faculty of Child Psychology
Childcare Engineer & Ph.D. in Medicine
While studying for her doctoral degree at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine, Professor Kotani became pregnant with her first child. She gave birth immediately after obtaining her degree and resumed work after enrolling her child in a public daycare at seven months old.
She continued her career while navigating the challenges of childcare, and after having a second child, she faced multiple struggles but found ways to overcome them. Drawing from both her scientific knowledge and real-life experiences, she will share practical methods to smoothly transition back to work after parental leave.
