On Saturday, March 22, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 18 guests from “Rehas Work Soka“, a Type-B Continuous Employment Support Office in Soka City, for lunch at Sloth Cafe ✨
Both the users and staff members were cheerful and created a warm, friendly atmosphere. It was truly a heartwarming experience for all of us.
We hope to see you again soon!

📚 A New Book Has Joined Our Cafe Bookshelf
We received a generous donation of the book “Because I Have a Disability, Life Is Fun” by Takako Suzuki, courtesy of Ms. Hitomi Sumida, director of the Toy Library in Kawaguchi City.
The book is available on our in-store bookshelf. Feel free to enjoy it while relaxing at the cafe, or if you’d like to read it at home, we’re happy to lend it out—just ask our staff 📖
In a heartwarming exchange, we also shared the book “Even If a Child with a Disability Is Born” by Sakura Kato, who recently donated 10 copies of her latest work to Sloth Cafe.
We’re deeply grateful to see a gentle relay of kindness continuing through books.
🌸 A Special Book Donation from Sakura Kato 🌸
Author and advocate Sakura Kato, who is also a mother raising a child with a disability, kindly donated 10 copies of her heartfelt book “Even If a Child with a Disability Is Born.”
This book is filled with her personal experiences and reflections and is recommended not only for parents raising children with disabilities, but for anyone who wants to better understand and connect with others.
It’s available on the bookshelf at Sloth Cafe—please feel free to pick it up and take a look when you visit.
