🌟 Inclusive Action Event Report & News from Sloth Café 🌿

🎪 We Joined “Inclusive Action”!

Last Saturday, we participated in Inclusive Action, an event hosted by Professor Kotani and seminar students from Tokyo Future University.
The venue was the entire Galaxcity facility in Nishiarai, Adachi Ward — packed with activity booths where children with and without disabilities could enjoy experiences together.

From my organization, Brave Kids, we ran:
💻 Programming Experience
🍳 Cooking Experience

The students spent months planning and preparing for the event, and on the day they warmly guided the children through each activity. Thanks to their efforts, the event ended in a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. A big thank-you to everyone involved!

🥤 “Snack Toromi” Thickener Products

The event also featured a booth by Snack Toromi (@snack_toromi), supporting people with swallowing difficulties.
One remarkable product can even add thickness to carbonated drinks! We tried it with enzyme drinks and cola, and it retained the fizz while adding thickness.

We plan to introduce it at the café soon, so those who had given up on beer 🍺✨ might be able to enjoy it again!
There was also barley tea jelly, perfect for summer hydration.

🎶 Barrier-Free Concert

The event concluded with a barrier-free concert where it was perfectly fine to make sounds or move around. It was a rare and moving opportunity to enjoy opera in such an open, welcoming environment.
We’d love to see more inclusive events like this, and at Sloth Café we will continue to host barrier-free events where everyone feels welcome. Please check our in-store bulletin boards and fence notices for upcoming events.

🌵 Donation of Succulent Plants

We received a generous donation of succulent plants from Kaoru Yoshida (@ykaoru.aaar32)!
All proceeds from their sale will be donated to the Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA).
We sincerely appreciate your warm support.
