Thank you very much for visiting us this chilly morning.
As the weather gets colder, citrus fruits like mandarin oranges begin to fill the supermarket shelves.
Our seasonal enzyme drink made with Sudachi from Kamiyama Town in Tokushima is now down to the last few servings.
While searching online for the next seasonal ingredient, I came across something exciting… Bergamot and Lime!
🍃 What Is Bergamot?
Bergamot is a type of citrus in the mandarin family. It’s commonly used in aromatherapy, perfumes, and to give Earl Grey tea its distinctive fragrance.
Believe it or not, this was my first time actually eating a bergamot.
The moment I cut into it, a refreshing yet powerful aroma filled the entire café—customers sitting at the farthest tables even noticed it!
When the staff tasted it, we were surprised by its sharp acidity.
We’re genuinely excited to see how this bergamot will transform into our next enzyme drink.
This upcoming drink will be made with bergamot and lime from Ozawa Farm in Arida, Wakayama, both completely free of preservatives and wax.
