Over the past few days, I’ve been greeted at opening time with lovely gifts of persimmons, daikon radishes, and other autumn produce — it always warms my heart first thing in the morning.
When pesticide-free persimmons or vegetables are available at the register, I’ll share it on our Instagram Stories, so please check them out!

🍀 [January Workshop] Hishio Fermentation Class
“Hishio” is a traditional fermented seasoning made with soybean and barley koji.
Compared to shoyu-koji or shio-koji made with rice koji, hishio contains even more umami and is excellent for gut health.
It’s a versatile seasoning rich in flavor — you won’t even need dashi when cooking!
For this workshop, you can choose between Shoyu Hishio or Salt Hishio.
The session will be led with love by instructor Yukie (@terrace_yukie)♡
After the preparation session, we will all enjoy lunch together at SLOTH CAFE.
