🌿 Special Report: Lacquer Artist Mariko Kitamura ✨
Recently, we welcomed lacquer artist Mariko Kitamura to the café for a special incense-making workshop.
🌸 Blending fragrant wood shavings with your favorite scent and kneading the mixture carefully was truly a time to engage all five senses.
Although everyone was meeting for the first time, the participants enjoyed a warm and friendly atmosphere.
🍽️ After shaping the incense, we enjoyed a relaxing lunch while waiting for it to dry, chatting and laughing together.♡
💙 We also had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Kitamura’s original indigo-colored lacquerware.
Its beautiful gradient was mesmerizing, and it made us want to explore more of her work!

Our clotted cream—which had been unavailable due to a manufacturer’s machine failure—is finally back in stock!
We baked fresh scones right away, and thanks to the cooler autumn weather they came out perfectly this time.
