According to recent national data in Japan, the number of elementary and junior high school students who are not attending school (school-reluctant / “Futoukou”) has exceeded 350,000. Including high school students, the number goes over 400,000. It is becoming a topic we hear about very often in our daily lives.

What can parents do?
To all the hard-working moms and dads: why not pause for a moment and take this opportunity to let out your worries, frustrations, and anxieties in a safe space?
We are hosting a casual discussion group for parents who are dealing with school refusal or attendance reluctance.
Because we share similar experiences, there is so much we can understand about each other.
Simply talking out loud can bring a sense of relief.
Even if you can’t put your feelings into words, just being there with us is completely okay. Feel free to leave early or just listen in🌱
