Hello everyone, this is Okada, the manager of Slowth Cafe. The weather has been a bit gloomy lately—I hope you are all staying healthy and feeling well!
The other day, we had the pleasure of delivering our curry to a nearby special needs school. This time, in addition to our regular meals, we received orders for textured meals (modified-viscosity food) as well. It turns out that this was the exact grade where my son’s former homeroom teacher and one of our staff member’s children belong. It truly warmed my heart to prepare each dish with love while picturing all their smiling faces.
While I am getting much more used to preparing textured meals, it is still a deep and delicate art—for instance, the thickening can harden over time. I am committed to continuing my trial and error so that we can make these meals even more delicious for everyone!
(*Please note: Delivery services are currently limited to group orders from nearby special needs schools and welfare facilities.)

Seasonal Special! Introducing Our New Enzyme Syrups
Here at the cafe, a wonderful variety of new enzyme syrups are ready for the season! Starting this week, “Plum” and “Green Baby Peach” (Tekka-momo) are joining the lineup. Both are organically grown without any pesticides, so you can enjoy them with peace of mind.
By the way, have you ever heard of “Tekka-momo” (thinned-out green peaches)? They are small, young green peaches that are thinned out during the cultivation process to help the main fruit grow. Since they rarely hit the regular market, they are a unique and rare treat! While they look just like green plums, taking a sip rewards you with a subtle, beautiful aroma of peach and a refreshing sweetness. And of course, the “Plum” syrup—my absolute personal favorite among all our enzyme syrups—has also turned out incredibly delicious!

🌿 Sharing Our Homemade Plum Syrup!
We made a big batch of plum syrup, so we are excited to share some with you! Enjoy making your own refreshing enzyme drinks at home.
- Includes: Enough syrup for 5 servings (150cc) along with whole plums
- Price: 1,500 yen
- ✨ Special Offer: Bring your own container and get 50 yen off!
Fresh New Art on Display Throughout the Cafe
In addition, the artwork displayed around our cafe has been beautifully refreshed today!
Staff from the Yazaike Welfare Center visited us to swap the pieces. The new featured artwork, titled “Inside a Tulip,” is drawn with chalk on black paper—it is an incredibly deep, chic, and stunning piece. @adachinosato
Right next to the register at our “Ashimoto Art Museum,” we are delighted to showcase a new featured artist, “Laphong” (@laphong117)! Their illustrations of young girls and animals in a lovely retro style are absolutely charming. We also have delightful, one-of-a-kind handmade items available for purchase, including keychains and postcards.

Why not swing by the cafe to refresh your mood, especially on these gloomy days? We look forward to welcoming you for a relaxing time filled with delicious drinks and wonderful, inclusive artwork. We are so excited to see you all this June!
